SwimDate with Friends

A cool shot of Davis underwater and the best picture I could get of Molly and Caden... and our awesome flamingo, Featherstone.
 Another shot of submerged Davis
These were the days when I *thought* Marshall was a daredevil.
Looking back, I now can now appreciate that these were his reserved and cautious days...
Man, I wish this shot of Caden wasn't blurry!
Hannah chunkin' my kid off of the diving board...
Yep, that's my baby after Hannah threw him... he LOVED it!

Florida Weekend

The kids were troopers when we flew out to Florida to visit Aunt Dana, Scotty and Robbie.
When we left Houston, not only was the air conditioning out at Hobby Airport, but our flight was delayed for over 3 hours. We were hot, sweaty and exhausted when we finally arrived in Florida well past 1am.
It was all worth it when we hit the beach just a few hours later...

Of course we had to go visit our old kitty, Mango, who now lives in Florida with Dana's mom, 'Grandma Jamie'

Dana, Jamie, Trevor and Robbie...

The kids and I had a great time!
In just three short days we made 5 trips to 4 different beaches, played with a LOT of seaweed, enjoyed a private concert by Trevor, ate some yummy sushi, spent a little too much time in Dana's car - where Marshall invented "Cracker Pants" and Trevor entertained us all by reading, 'James and the Giant Peach' and overall had a crazy, fun-filled mini-vacation with some of our favorite people!

July 2009

In July we said good-bye to our friends, the Cavers, before they moved to Malaysia.
Here are Molly, Reed and Andrew at the kid's going-away party.
This month Marshall continued to crack me up with his silliness...

 Molly had fun growing butterflies...

and releasing them at the end of the month...
...and Marshall had fun running around the house with his buddies, Mickey and Manny.
I believe we had exactly 3 rainstorms this summer and here Marshall is enjoying one of them with Mickey and Minnie.

We had a Rock-n-roll concert one afternoon in the playroom
and Paul and Molly got down to the serious business of pickle-makin'

Sarah-Jane went with us when we took Marshall to see his first movie, Cars 2.
(actually, Toy Story 2 was his first movie, but I don't think that really counts since he was only a couple of months old)
