Burroughs Park

Thursday night my cousin, Tirscha, arrived for a super-long visit!! She'll be here until November 1st! We're so happy to have her here to help out while Paul finishes up the last two weeks of Halloween store related madness and Marshall was so excited to meet his cousin for the first time!!

Friday morning we got started on what seems like an endless list of things to do and places to be. That afternoon we met Molly's friend, Hayden, his mommy and sister, Abby, at Burroughs park to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. The park was so much fun and SO BIG, that I think we'll be going back again and again.

Happy Birthday, Caden!

On Sunday we celebrated Caden's 5th birthday party at the Tomball train museum. Once again Danielle threw an amazing party with another awesome cake!!!

Costume Fun

For the 4th year in a row we've opened one of the stores at the crack of dawn and invited our friends to come in and enjoy some costume fun!

This year Paul gave Molly her first official job with Halloween Express, she is in charge of taking change out of the new vending machines.

After lunch we met Taylor's sister at Chuy's and introduced Taylor to the new love of her life... creamy jalapeno dip!

Visit With a Dear Friend

A few weeks ago my sweet friend, Elizabeth, came to Houston for a short visit all the way from Switzerland. She was here with her family at the end of the summer and had hoped she would get to meet Marshall, but he decided to be born several weeks later. I was so glad she got a chance to see the kids and spend a little time with Marshall.


Looking back at the blog, I realize that I never posted pictures from their visit back in July.

Beary First Visit to Church

Today we took Marshall to church for the first time - in his fancy bear overalls from his cousin, Tirscha, of course! Usually Little Man is a dream in public, he never fusses in restaurants and usually sleeps or just sits peacefully in his car seat wherever we are! But not today! He started cranking during the opening prayer and was in full on fuss-mode within minutes. Paul and I ended up listening to the sermon in the foyer, where of course he fell asleep 5 minutes before church was over!

As you can see he was in a great mood right before leaving for church this morning!
