When it Rains...

... we play!

Thanks to Hurricane Alex we got hit with three days of rain. Luckily nothing too bad, but it did cause a little cabin fever for the kids and me!
On Day 3 of the rain, we had a beautiful sunny break in the storm. Marshall was down for a nap so Molly quickly changed into her swimsuit to jump in the pool.... moments later the sky turned gray and it started coming down in sheets... since there was no lightening, I gave Molly my umbrella and told her to "GIT!" She looked a little shocked, but when she realized I was serious her face lit up and off she went. I think it's the most fun she's had all summer. She ended up playing in the rain for over an hour!

June Wrap-Up

As I catch up on blog posts, I realize we did a TON of things in June... too many things to make individual posts for, so I am going to make one catch-up post!

Molly discovered that she could use large pipe cleaners and Potato Head parts to make fun new toys
Marshall discovered his ability to charm me to pieces with his cuteness!
M&M learned that they both enjoy watching Signing Time in the morningWe've spent lots of time on the swings
We went to "build your own pizza night" with friends:
We met our new friend, Ella Reese, and played with her siblings, Cameron and Leyla
Daddy and Molly had fun harvesting their own cucumbers and pickling them:
Looking at this picture of Paul, I have to point out one VERY important milestone for the month of June - Paul has lost a total of 20lbs!!! Great job, honey - you're looking AMAZING! Molly and Davis attended a Halloween-themed gymnastics camp:
We attending Grace's VBS as a family
Packing teacher boxes as our mission projectWe attended two super-fun birthday parties, one for Marshall's bud, Georgie, and one for Auntie Cyndal
Molly with PawPaw and Auntie
Marshall enjoyed his first hibachi experience......until he got a bit freaked-out after the fire-bomb and it took us a few minutes to get him calmed down and back enjoying himself again. And now, random June cuteness for your viewing pleasure:
