Oh my gosh, I am so far behind. Marshall turns 11 months-old in 8 days and I am just now putting this post together.
On May 29th our little monkey turned 10 months old. He's the busiest little boy and is into EVERYTHING... perhaps this is the reason I am behind on my blogging. I recently dropped $160 on baby gates and officially forfeited our living room to the boy and his toys. Now we have
two rooms downstairs dominated by the kids. I'd like to say the kids are spoiled, but it's as much for our sanity as it is for their enjoyment!!! But yes, I know they are spoiled and
to an extent, I am OK with it!!!
Marshall is still waking up once a night to eat. It's not ideal, but luckily he's back to sleep within seconds of polishing off his bottle. He's a big eater during the day, so I am thinking maybe it's more out of habit than hunger. He's not eating much baby food these days, and lately LOVES fruit, cheese, lunch meat and especially hummus - he'll eat it on a cracker, bread or even by the spoonful. Recently he's had meatballs, meatloaf and brisket and loved them all so I'm hoping his healthy eating habits will continue. He went to a little friend's first birthday party on Saturday and wasn't allowed a cupcake and had to eat Cheerios instead. I think he's eagerly awaiting his first taste of refined sugar at his birthday party next month!

He's still very close to walking and is a maniac when cruising along the furniture, walls and baby gates and just squeals with delight when we walk him around holding his hands. I really thought he'd be walking by now, but I am enjoying my last few moments before he's sprinting all over the place.

One of Marshall's favorite places to be is in the pool... either the big one or his little kiddie pool. He is a water baby for sure and that makes me so happy! We're going to visit Aunt Dana in Florida in August, and I'm looking forward to his first dip in the Atlantic Ocean!
So far Marshall's still just rockin' four teeth, two up top and two on the bottom. I am really hoping Tylenol is back on the market before the rest of his teeth start popping up. As for his baby babbling, he's saying "mama" and "dada" but not really in reference to us. In the last two days he's started saying "dat" and "dis" which I realized might be a version of "that" and "this" since I am always saying "do you want this?" or "do you see that?" He'll point to something and say "dat" or hold something up and say, "disssss" so we'll have to wait and see whether it's coincidental or if he's really trying to say something. So far he's really not signing much. He'll do the sign for "cheese" and "more" when he's really in the mood, but it's not consistent by any means. Most of the time he slams his hands down on his highchair tray and shrieks for "more" which I am really, REALLY trying to break him of!!!
Little man first thing in the morning:

Some mornings Molly will want to go in and "wake up" Marshall when she hears him starting to babble. She'll climb right in the crib with him to wrestle and play which buys me a few extra minutes to make the bed, get dressed and start my day!

10 months old!!! SOOO BIG!

I'm gonna get you!

The sweet and innocent look!

Actually signing "more" for once.

Marshall loves his wubbies and sometimes carries them around in his mouth like a dog!

Always keeping an eye out for his sister!

Marshall will still sit in his swing for his first bottle each morning.

Little boy on the move!

We recently went to a party at Molly's school and when the band started playing "Sweet Home Albama" Marshall lost it and started screaming with delight! I was so proud! When Molly was little she LOVED Skynyrd too!

Had to include this picture of Marshall and one of his favorite people, cousin Tirscha!
